I. Shipping Methods

For shipping products from China to your destination, we offer air express (operated by FedEX, DHL, UPS, etc),  air freight, sea freight for different shipments.

Air express is suitable for small shipment less than 200kg. Air freight is more competitive price than air express when  shipment is more than 500kg. Sea freight is the cheapest shipping way, but only suitable for shipment more than 3CBM.
 

II. Shipping Terms for Sea Freight

Our customer representative will quote you product price by ExW term, but you can also request them to quote you price for other shipping terms.

#1  EXW (Ex Works)
Customers must arrange transportation all the way from our warehouse in Ganzhou & Yiwu to the final destination. And customers are responsible for all export process.

#2  FOB (Free on Board)
As the product price we quoted is EXW, customers need to pay extra FOB cost, depending on total volume of the shipment. We deliver cargo to the Port, handle the export process. Your own forwarder will manage shipping from Port to your place.

#3  CIF (Cost Insurance Freight)
We arrange delivery to the Port of Destination in customer’s country. But customer need to manage shipping from port to their warehouse, and do the import process. 

#4 DTD (Door-to-Door)
We charge you an all-included shipping price to your destination for air freight and sea freight. You don’t need to find a local custom broker to handle the custom clearance, you will receive the products at your warehouse (door-to-door service). 

 

Our Advice:
Usually forwarder will quote very low CIF fee in China, but charge a lot when you pick up cargo at the port of destination, much more than the total cost of using FOB term. If customer have reliable forwarder, FOB or EXW term will be better than CIF.

Our team help you source suppliers in China for free. You don’t need to pay any upfront fee to start using the service.


Only when you like our quote and place product order to us, you pay 5-10% service fee based on product value.

By charging you service fee, we will coordinate between suppliers and you for customizing your product & packaging, follow up producing, inspect quality, and arrange shipping.

Our minimum order is $1,000/item, and it’s also Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for most manufacturers in China.

Thus the service charge starts from $100, friendly for even small business, even more worthy than paying a 3rd party inspection company.


Payment = Product Amount + Service Charge(based on product amount) + Shipping Fee

Tips: All clients can use our warehouse in Yiwu, China 30 days for free, thus you can take time to add more products to ship together, to get lower service rate.

In the present day, making own brand product are handy, and even open to small business or startups. The easiest way to have own brand product is to print your company logo on the packaging, and China has an incredibly wide array of suppliers in packaging industry, offering all kinds solution for product packaging.

In the following article, we will discuss why China is the right place to source customized packaging manufacturers and the costs you need to be aware of. We also take a brief look into how to make own design packaging when you import products from China.

1. Why Need Customized Packaging?
Most small business buyers import no brands products from China, but seldom use own design packaging. However, customized packaging is extremely beneficial for startups and small businesses. They can create their own brands, without engaging in a complex, time consuming and expensive product development process. All you need to do is to choose a supplier ready to provide a good quality product to be sold to your target customers. You can then cover it with your own packaging; print your company logo on the packaging and sell these products in to the market. This will give your brand quick popularity and success in the local market.

Many suppliers do not give much significance to the packaging of the products. They sell the products to the customers with the original factory’s design and packing. Sometimes these products are sold with some other company’s information on the box. This is because Chinese suppliers offer other customer’s packing design, and don’t understand the information printed on the box. Thus, you end up selling your product under some other brand name.

At other instances the factory’s original packaging makes the product look dull and uninteresting. Here if you just incur a little extra cost in packaging the products again, it will make the product look more attractive. You can easily increase the price of newly packaged product by 5-10% or even more. This will also differentiate your product from your competitors’, even if both buy the product from the same Chinese suppliers.

 

2. Is Customized Packing Expensive?
Most sellers buy products and sell them to the customers without own packaging. There are two main reasons behind this approach. First they don’t know much about customized packaging and think it is an extremely expensive affair. Second they perceive that customized packaging is available only on very big orders. So never try it for small orders.

However the fact is that customized packaging is cheap and available even on very small orders in China. In the following description we will analyze two common situations for this issue.

Situation #1: Use factory’s original packing, with your design.
Let’s take “turtle projector light” as example, which we help our customer sourced before.


The factories provide ‘turtle lights’ in normal design boxes (the box towards the right in the photo). This box is used by most turtle light factories for supplying their products to the customers. Using same packing box is a quite common act in China for small factories, because they never think about doing own design. You can find this black box on Alibaba, Ebay, Amazon, and everywhere.

Our customer did his own design box and only paid $100 fee for the printing model. And he ordered 1,000pcs this products, which means he only paid $0.1 extra fee per product. With his own design and brand on box, he can easily sell this product $1 higher price than competitors, who are using factory’s black box.

For box packing, product factory usually will help make your own design packing, and usually will charge $80-$100 printing model fee at the first time, and there’s no more fee for future orders. But sometimes there will be around $40 for each order, for assembling model on the printing machine. Please keep this in mind, because some suppliers will offer you low product price, but high fee for customized packing. However, the fee still depends on different packing types.

Situation #2: Customize packing in other printing companies in China.
Sometimes for certain products, it might so happen that suppliers don’t offer any packaging for the products; or you don’t like the product packaging. In both these cases you need to find printing companies or factories for produce your packing, and deliver to the product factory.We help our customer create his own packaging design for the product.

One of our customers bought 2,000 pcs of teddy bear at a price of $1.3. But, the supplier offered the bear without any packaging. We then searched for a printing factory to print packaging for the customers’ toy and got three solutions for our problem:

  • OPP bag with own Logo at the rate of $0.03 each for MOQ 3,000 pcs.
     

  • Paper card with own design at the rate of $0.065 each for MOQ 2,000 pcs.
     

  • Colorful box with own design at the rate of $0.19 each for 2,000pcs.
     

  • The customer finally chose box packing with own design for packaging the toys. Because he can sell $1 higher price than Teddy Bear without any packing.

3. How to Customize Your Packaging?
The process of customizing your packaging is extremely simple and is explained in the following discussion:

Search the related products on Alibaba and look for the different kinds of packaging offered with similar products. This will help you to get some inspiration and idea about packaging.

Select the appropriate packaging according to the product you will be offering to your customers. (About the different types of packaging, you can refer to our article here).

If your supplier can help you with the print work, you should be all set to design your artwork required for packaging. This should be saved as AI files in your system.

If you cannot find a designer to design your packaging, you can find experienced designers on freelance to help you design your product packaging. All you need to do is, to give them an idea about the picture and type of design you want for packaging.

For example, Target sells a variety of branded snacks from companies like General Mills and Frito-Lay, but it also sell its own chips and crackers under the Archer Farms brand – Target’s private label brand.

Hair salons often create their own branded line of shampoos, conditioners, and styling products for their customers to buy and take home. Restaurants often decide to private label condiments or mixes that have become popular with customers. Maid services could private label a line of household cleaners and pet stores could private label a line of pet foods and grooming tools.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can you give us your service fee structure and working style procedure too?
Our sourcing service is totally free, and you don’t pay a cent for our services until you place your first order.

We will try our best to source more suppliers for our customers, and quote the best price. Customers only need to pay us certain service fee in the balance payment. The service fee depends on the total order amount, which is 5%-10% of the total product value.


What if the price you offered is less competitive than the one I find on Alibaba or I want to buy from my own supplier but still want to use your service to coordinate between the supplier and me?
There are two different situations for service fee:
1. For client buying products from his own supplier and he communicates with supplier for all production process, we only help check quality and arrange shipping. If there’s quality issue, we will help client negotiate with supplier. In this case, we charge 5% fee.

2. We help client communicate with supplier for the whole process, like making samples or producing. In this way, we charge 5%-10% service fee based on product value, regardless of the supplier is found by client himself or us. We also help check quality and arrange shipping.

Although client pays a little bit more service fee in the second service, we can help client save lots of time in communicating with suppliers. If there are quality issues happen, we help you negotiate with the supplier on behalf of you until the problems are fixed.

Do you handle samples checking and then send the final product to us or you are not responsible for checking samples?
Our service includes: find suppliers and sourcing products from China, and quote to customers the best prices; negotiate with suppliers for samples, production and packaging; customize logo and packaging; quality control; arrange shipping to FBA .(maybe consolidate goods with other customers to the same destination so that shipping fee will be saved).

Samples checking is free. We will ask for samples from suppliers once customers are satisfied with the quotation. Then, we send them to customers for quality checking, and customers decide whether to purchase it in bulk.


Do you accept payment via PayPal? Is there any other way? 
About the payment terms, we accept four payment terms: Paypal (when the amount is under $500, and mostly used for sample payment), Wire Transfer, Western Union, TT and MoneyGram (when the amount is over $500).

Will you give the list of suppliers details to us and then we need to choose and contact the suppliers or you will send the final quote to my clients after you negotiate with the suppliers?
We will try our best to source several different suppliers for 1 item, and select the best 1-2 of them, then send the quotation to customers.

Normally we don’t offer our supplier’s information to customers, as our working pattern is that customers working with us, and we work with our suppliers.

But the main reason is that most of our suppliers don’t directly work with foreign customers as they don’t have English-speaking staff. Our 5%-10% service fee is not only charged to source suppliers, but also for, the most important part, negotiating with suppliers efficiently to save time and money for customers.


Does the total order value should be above $1000, regardless of MOQ?
Minimum $1,000 product value for each item, which means customers need to purchase at least $1000 for 1 item, so the order quantity depends on the unit price (Most of our suppliers are factories, and their MOQ is around this amount.).

Is the price you offered more competitive than Alibaba supplier?
80% of the suppliers we are working can offer better prices than suppliers from alibaba.com. But if customers still want to buy from suppliers they found from alibaba, we can help to gather their goods together and do QC, then ship to FBA for them. In this way, only 5% service fee will be charged. And will make sure your goods arrive at your warehouse safely.

About the payment terms.
For the order with total value below $5000, full payment be made before production.
For the order with total value over $5000, 30% deposit and 70% be made before shipping.
